Tennessee and Virginia See 16 E. coli Illnesses with 1 Death

Today the Sullivan County Health Department confirmed a new case of E. coli raising the total number of cases to 11 among the 8 Northeast Tennessee counties. There are also three more possible cases the Northeast Tennessee Health Office is waiting on test results for. These cases are in addition to the two severe infections in Southwest Virginia, one of which resulted in the death of a 2-year-old girl.
